Scouting New York Does Annie Hall
So here I sit at 3:30 pm on a Monday, wondering precisely when it’s socially acceptable to pop the cork on a bottle of wine. Do I really have to wait ’til 5 pm? As a great man once said, it’s 5 o’clock somewhere…
Anyway, if you’ve found yourself in the Monday afternoon doldrums too, I highly recommend this time waster known as scoutingny.com and today’s feature The Filming Locations of Annie Hall, Part 1 – New York, You’ve Changed. This is pretty much exactly what it sounds like – a photo essay of images from Woody Allen’s Annie Hall juxtaposed with the same location today. What is most surprising is how little things have changed. Well, that’s not so surprising to me – New York chews us up and spits us out, not the other way around.
So click over and kill some time with the many, many photos. There’s also the same piece for Taxi Driver, Ghostbusters, and Rosemary’s Baby, which should just about run out the time ’til wine o’clock. Enjoy!
