Caftan Woman

The Caftan Woman ship is manned by one Patricia Nolan Hall, or Miss Patty as I like to call her. I have the great good fortune to have actually spent some time with Miss Patty and her amazing sister Maureen, better know to film fans as @missmccrocodile on Twitter.

When you hang out with these two, it’s all movies all the time. They’ve lived a life steeped in the appreciate of classic Hollywood. When they shared the tale of their father, film fan zero it seems, waking them in the wee hours as children because a John Ford movie was tv, I’ll admit I felt a pang of envy. The family that watches movies together, stays together I think.

I wish you all could meet these ladies for lunch or a screening, I really do. But reading Caftan Woman is a suitable replacement for that. Patty writes with both passion and a deep, deep knowledge of her subject. Her personal warmth shines through with every word.

Do yourself a favor and get over to Caftan Woman right now.

It’s my pleasure. Tho I see that you use Paddy, not Patty. Sorry about that. :)

But really, you are amazing – both as a cinemaniac and a human! Stay awesome!
